Customer & Payment Commitment

At Melbourne Gas & Air / Just Right Heating & Cooling Group, we pride ourselves on building long term trust with our customers, staff, and suppliers. We always pay our employees and suppliers on time, and we ask the same from our customers. If you expect any difficulty making a payment, please contact us before your payment due date on 0440 130 396 so we can discuss suitable arrangements. Invoices not paid by the due date will incur a late fee of 5% of the total invoice amount per day the balance remains unpaid.

Deposit & Final Payment

A 20% deposit is required to secure all bookings. Once your deposit is received, our office will contact you to arrange a suitable date for the works or installation. Deposits are non-refundable, except where Melbourne Gas & Air / Just Right Heating & Cooling Group is unable to provide the quoted services.

If there are outstanding balances from prior works, your deposit will first be applied to those amounts, with the remainder allocated to the new job. The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the quoted works or commissioning of your new system. Payment can be made directly to the technician onsite or to the office.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept card, cash, bank transfer, and Afterpay. All card transactions incur a 2% transaction fee.

Late Payment & Recovery

Goods supplied become the customer’s responsibility upon delivery or collection but remain the property of Melbourne Gas & Air / Just Right Heating & Cooling Group until payment is received in full. In cases of non-payment, the customer authorises us to access the site to recover supplied goods. All costs incurred in recovering goods, including legal fees, debt collection charges, and late payment penalties, will be charged to the customer.

Quote Validity & Scope of Work

All quotations remain valid for 30 days from the issue date. Quoted prices cover only the faults identified during the initial inspection. Any further issues discovered during or after repairs will be quoted separately.

Repairs deemed “high risk,” typically due to the system’s age or condition, will not be covered under warranty. Prices exclude additional services that require other trades or specialist work such as electrical upgrades, plastering, painting, engineering drawings, or certifications, unless specifically stated in writing.

Warranty

We proudly offer a 9 Year Workmanship Warranty on all our installation work. This warranty covers only the workmanship of our installation and does not cover the equipment itself, which remains protected under the manufacturer’s warranty. Any repairs, alterations, or servicing conducted by another party may void our workmanship warranty.

Site Access & Safety

Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the worksite, including clearing pathways, securing pets, and providing access to utilities such as power, gas, and water. If asbestos is suspected during the work, all activity will pause until professional clearance is provided. Costs for asbestos testing, clearance, and removal are not included in the quote and will be charged directly to the customer.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover lost time and administrative costs.

Compliance & Liability

All works will comply with current building, plumbing, gasfitting, and safety regulations. If regulatory changes or additional upgrades are required during the project, these will be quoted separately. We are not liable for pre-existing issues or damages caused by hidden faults, such as brittle ductwork or aged piping.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delays or failure to complete work due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, supplier shortages, or unforeseen safety risks. For our complete list of terms and conditions, please visit our website or contact our office.
